The piers (tha)

Sathorn (connects BTS Saphan Taksin), Si Phraya, Tha Tian (near Wat Pho and Grand Palace), Tha Chang, Phra Arthit (near Khao San Road) are the key stops.

Building a river day

Start at Sathorn pier → take express boat north → Tha Tian for Wat Pho + Grand Palace → Tha Chang for ferry to Wat Arun → back by boat or taxi.

Express boat options

Orange flag (all stops, cheap), blue flag (tourist route, 50 THB/trip or 150 THB day pass) — tourist boat is worth it for a full day.

Best times
